National School Counseling Week is being celebrated from February 5-9, 2018 to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within the U.S. school systems.
Thank you Ms. Bell for all of your contributions to Burnt Mills Elementary School and for helping all of our students reach for the stars! On behalf of the PTA and its members, Ms. Bell was presented this card of appreciation today.
In honor of the 2018 MLK Day of Service, the PTA and Burnt Mills Elementary School staff and students are sponsoring a Toy Drive to benefit the students at BMES. Together, we will create indoor recess bins for every classroom!
Please see the Indoor recess Toy Drive flyer for details on the Toy Drive. Donated toys (new or gently used) can be dropped off in the bins outside of the main office from January 10-31. Please see the flyer for suggested toy donations.
Thank you for your support!
Please join us on Saturday, December 2nd, to warm up for the holidays at the PTA Hot Cocoa 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Fundraiser.
Let’s come together as a community to support this year’s PTA sponsored lineup of cultural arts performances, family fun nights, and field trip assistance.
Students, staff, parents/families, friends and neighbors are welcome to register to run/walk the 1 mile course.
Check-in starts at 9:30am, Run/walk begins at 10am and there will be fun activities (DJ, face painting & T-shirt decorating) until 12 pm.
The Burnt Mills classroom with the greatest percentage of participating students wins a hot cocoa party!
How to register:
Flyers/registration forms went home in the Wednesday folders and are also available here to print.
Fill out the registration form and send it into school along with the fees, to your teacher in an envelope labeles “For PTA” by November 28th. Fees can be paid in cash or a check made payable t “BMES PTA”.
Consider volunteering to help out at the Hot Cocoa Fun Run. We need adult volunteers to help out along the course, with face painting and t-shirt decorating, and serving hot cocoa. Click here to signup to volunteer.
